UBER has illegally started in the Kitchener-Waterloo area.
Now, you hear from the "cartel". We're not a billion company. Just a small company with little capital to fight against this machine. The facts that are true for the region of Waterloo. 5 companies work in the region. Each company has a central dispatch office. With people working and making a living. Paying licence fee, property taxes, and all the other fees to run a business. We can not compete against them. Because. we don't have the resource to generate a income of that magnitude.
Also, they take away from the region. No money stays in Canada. All that money goes to one person in the states. This will hurt all the people in the industry. I can vouch that the taxi industry in the region is one of the best. But, people will argue the point. The big picture is that it will hurt your neighbour. It even might but people out of work. That's what's on my mind. Hopefully, people of the Region of Waterloo will see how it will affect their local economy. UBER (Big USA company) hurting the local taxi industry and community.
